The Holy Diocese of Majunga and North Madagascar respects your privacy. This page explains what personal data we collect when you visit iedmag.com, contact us or make a donation, and how we use it, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
The data controller is the Holy Diocese of Majunga and North Madagascar (Patriarchate of Alexandria and All Africa), Avenue Philibert Tsiranana, Sacred Wood, Mahajanga 401, Madagascar. Email: bishopnephon@gmail.com · Phone / Viber: +30 697 611 4007.
2. What data we collect
- When you visit the website: our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically logs technical data such as IP address, browser type and time of visit, for security and proper operation. We do not use any analytics or advertising tools.
- When you contact us (email, phone, Viber, Facebook): your name, contact details and the content of your message.
- When you donate by bank transfer: the bank provides us with the donor’s name, the amount, the date and the payment reference.
- When you donate by card (via PayPal or Stripe, once available): payment takes place on the provider’s page. We only receive your name, email and the amount; we never see your card details.
3. Why we use it
- to reply to your messages (legitimate interest / your request),
- to manage donations, thank you and, if you wish, send you a receipt,
- to meet our accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation),
- for the security and proper operation of the website (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising. We share it only as necessary with the bank, payment providers and our hosting provider, who are committed to protecting it.
4. Cookies
The website uses only strictly necessary cookies: one to remember the language you chose (Greek, French or English) and, for administrators only, login cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Fonts are loaded from the Google Fonts service, so your IP address is made known to Google when they load. Links to Facebook, Viber, PayPal and Stripe lead to websites with their own privacy policies.
5. How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as our correspondence requires. Donation records are kept for the period required by accounting and tax law. Technical server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and the right to object. For any request, write to us at bishopnephon@gmail.com. If you believe your data is not properly protected, you may lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (in Greece: www.dpa.gr).
7. Changes
This policy may be updated. The current version is always available on this page.
